The Triumph Tr6 Was A Popular British Sports Car With A Six-Cylinder Engine. It Was The Most Sold Model In The Tr Series Made By Triumph Until It Stopped Being Produced In July 1976. The Tr7 Broke This Record Later. Out Of The 94,619 Tr6S That Were Made, 86,249 Were Sent To Other Countries. Only 8,370 Were Purchased Within The Uk. The Body Of The New Model Looked A Lot Like The Previous Triumph Tr5, But The Front And Back Parts Were Made Square. This Change Was Made Because Karmann Helped With Designing It. This Is Called A Kamm Tail, And It Was Very Popular On Cars In The 1970S, Especially On Most Triumph Models. The Body Shape Looked Like The Tr4/Tr5, But The Back And Front Were Different. All Tr6 Sports Cars Had Six-Cylinder Engines. In The Us Market, The Engine Used A Carburetor, Just Like The Tr250 Engine That Was Only Available In The Us. The Tr6 Was Also Fuel-Injected Like The Tr5 And It Was Sold In Other Countries Like The United Kingdom, That'S Why It Had The Tr6Pi Label. The Lucas Fuel Injection System Made The Tr6 Car More Powerful By Producing 150 Bhp When It Was First Introduced To The Market. Afterwards, The Tr6 Variant That Was Not Sold In The Us Was Made Less Powerful, Having 125 Horsepower, So It Would Be Easier To Handle. On The Other Hand, The Us Version Of The Tr6 Continued To Use A Carburetor And Had Only 104 Horsepower.
