Triumph TR5 Classic Car Paints
The Triumph TR5 was a type of sports car made by the Triumph Motor Company in Coventry, England. It was only produced for a short time, from August 1967 to September 1968. The TR5 was a convertible car with two seats. The TR5 looked the same as the TR4 on the outside, but had important changes underneath. The biggest difference from the TR4 car was the 2. 5-liter straight-6 fuel-injected engine. It produced around 145 horsepower and was also used in the TR6 car. During the same time, Triumph created a car called the Triumph TR250 which had a carburetor instead of fuel injection. This car was made specifically for sale in North America. Back then, most road cars didn't have fuel injection. According to Triumph's sales brochure, they said that their car was the first British sports car made with petrol injection. In 1968, the starting price for the TR5 in the UK was £1,260. This already included taxes. If you wanted wire wheels, it would be an extra £38. If you wanted overdrive, it would be an extra £60. And if you wanted a tonneau cover, it would be an extra £13.
