Triumph Acclaim Classic Car Paints

The Triumph Acclaim was a car made by British Leyland from 1981 to 1984. It was a medium-sized family car that had front-wheel drive. The car was made using a Honda Ballade and had a Honda engine. It followed the rules for using parts made in the United Kingdom. It was the last version of the Triumph brand. In 1978, British Leyland started working with Honda to create a new small family car. This was originally meant to be a temporary solution until the Maestro/Montego models were ready to be produced in 1983. On 26 December 1979, Michael Edwardes made it official that the two companies will be working together. The new car was made and ready to be sold 18 months later. It was called the Triumph Acclaim and was made using the Honda Ballade as its base. It took the place of the Triumph Dolomite from the 1970s. The Acclaim was introduced by BL on 7 October 1981. After 1981, the Acclaim was the only car with the Triumph badge because Dolomite and TR7 production had ended. The Acclaim was an important car because it was the first Japanese car made in Europe and it avoided Japan's rule that limited their car sales in Europe to 11 percent.
