The Triumph Toledo Was A Small Car That Came Out In August 1970. It Was Made To Be A Cheaper Option Compared To The Triumph 1300. At The Same Time, The Triumph 1300 Was Being Replaced By The Triumph 1500. The Toledo Car From The 1500S Had A Different Front Design. Instead Of Two Round Headlights Like The 1500, It Had One Rectangular Headlight On Each Side, Set In A Gray Plastic Grille. The Back Of The Car Was Mostly The Same As The 1300, But The Tail Lights Were Different. They Were Simpler And Had A Flat Face Design. The Most Significant Change From The 1300 Was Going Backwards In Terms Of Technology By Using Rear-Wheel Drive And A Live Rear Axle. This Was Done To Make Things Easier And Cheaper To Produce. The Inside Of The Car Looked Cheaper. The Only Wood In It Was A Simple Board With Holes For The Basic Instruments. However, Compared To Other Small Cars Of That Time That Had Lots Of Black Plastic, It Was Nicer. At First, The Toledo Car Only Came In A Two-Door Version With A 1300 Cc Engine That Produces 58 Bhp. The Car Had Drum Brakes On All The Wheels And Did Not Have The Option Of Overdrive Or Automatic Transmission.
