The Austin-Healey Sprite Is A Tiny And Open Sports Car That Was Made In The United Kingdom For Over 10 Years, Starting From 1958 To 1971. The Sprite Car Was Introduced To The Media In Monte Carlo By The British Motor Corporation On May 20, 1958, Right After The Monaco Grand Prix Happened Two Days Prior. It Was Designed To Be An Inexpensive Car That Someone Could Store In Their Bike Shed, But Still Be The New Version Of The Sporty Pre-War Austin Seven Cars. The Sprite Car Was Made By The Donald Healey Motor Company And Built At The Mg Factory In Abingdon. It Was Initially Sold For £669. They Used A Modified Version Of The Austin A-Series Engine And Tried To Use As Many Parts From Existing Cars As They Could To Save Money.
