The Austin Maestro is a small family car that has five doors and a hatchback. It was made by British Leyland from 1982 to 1986, and then by Rover Group from 1986 to 1994. It was created to take the place of the Austin Maxi and Austin Allegro cars, and the van version replaced the van version of the Morris Ital. The car was made at a factory in Oxford called Cowley. They sold 605,000 cars. A faster version of the MG Maestro was available to buy between 1983 and 1991.
